Merchandiser

Description

As our Merchandiser, you will be responsible for developing and executing merchandising strategies that ensure our products are attractively displayed, well-stocked, and aligned with customer expectations. You will play a key role in enhancing the shopping experience, driving sales growth, and maintaining Simextra’s strong market presence. This position requires a creative, detail-oriented, and analytical professional with a passion for product presentation and retail performance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a background in Sales & Marketing is an advantage
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in merchandising, retail, or sales
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Creative mindset with a strong visual sense for product displays
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic inventory management tools
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement effective merchandising strategies that align with company objectives and customer preferences
  • Design and maintain attractive product displays and promotional setups to maximize visibility and sales
  • Monitor stock levels, track sales, and forecast product needs to ensure optimal inventory availability
  • Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to guide assortment, pricing, and placement decisions
  • Collaborate with buyers, suppliers, and store teams to ensure execution of merchandising plans
  • Identify slow-moving items and recommend promotional actions or markdowns to improve performance
  • Stay informed about competitor activities and market trends to maintain a competitive edge
  • Support or train store staff on proper display standards and product rotation
