Our family-owned company was founded in 1994 by Mr. K. Soekhoe in the small town of Nickerie, Suriname and supplied the local market with wholesale services of basic goods.  The company gradually expanded its territory, services and portfolio throughout the years. The market of operations include Suriname and Guyana and  the import -, export – , wholesale – , distribution – , retail – and duty-free solutions are all streamlined into dedicated business units.

The product portfolio is regularly reviewed and updated to meet the needs of a dynamic domestic and travel retail market. The strategically placed offices and (bonded) warehouses ensure optimized stock and distribution across the points of sale.

Our dedicated team of professionals is focused on setting the right goals and developing long-term and trustworthy partnerships with both suppliers and customers.

Simextra Group currently consists of four main business units.

Simextra International N.V. in Suriname and Simextra Trading in Guyana, focus on the import, wholesale and distribution of quality consumer goods to retailers, supermarkets, hospitality customers and end consumers. The company-owned (bonded) warehouses, offices and distribution fleet, combined with the in-house sales, marketing and logistics professionals, result in optimal product availability and sales coverage in the market.

Simextra Duty Free is focused on operating Duty-Free and Travel Retail concessions in both Suriname and Guyana. The locations include airport -, border – and diplomatic stores.  Close collaboration with the domestic stakeholders and international brand owners guarantees constant improvement in service level and shopping experience to meet with international standards and trends.

XEEN retails premium fashion brands at key locations. The first store is located at MovieTowne Mall in Georgetown, Guyana and is the official reseller of Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein and Kenneth Cole.
