Duty-Free Floor Coördinator

Description

The Floor Coordinator is a proactive and service-oriented team leader responsible for overseeing daily floor operations within the Duty-Free store. This role focuses on supervising and supporting the cashier team, ensuring smooth transaction flow, excellent customer service, and compliance with operational procedures. The Floor Coordinator acts as the first point of contact for cashiers, resolves operational issues on the floor, and ensures company standards are consistently met.

Requirements

Education: High School diploma or equivalent (additional retail or supervisory training is a plus)
Availability: Willing to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
Experience: Minimum 2 years in a retail or customer-facing role

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of cashiers on the sales floor
  • Ensure cashiers follow duty-free procedures, policies, and service standards
  • Support and coach cashiers to maintain high performance and accuracy
  • Act as first escalation point for customer complaints and transaction issues
  • Monitor cashier transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures of the store
  • Ensure adequate staffing and coverage at cashier points
  • Oversee cash handling procedures and support daily cash reconciliations
  • Report discrepancies, incidents, or operational issues to management
  • Maintain clear communication between cashiers and supervisors
  • Assist customers when needed to maintain smooth store operations
  • Promote cross-selling and upselling initiatives on the floor
  • Ensure the checkout and sales floor remain clean, organized, and presentable
  • Support training of new cashiers and onboard team members
  • Help the team meet daily sales and service targets
