Communications & PR Specialist

Description

As a Communications & PR Specialist, you are responsible for managing and strengthening the organization’s public image, reputation, and media presence. You act as the key link between the company, the media, and the public, ensuring clear, consistent, and positive communication across all channels.

In this role, you develop compelling messages, manage media relations, and proactively monitor public sentiment. You play an essential role in protecting and enhancing brand reputation, handling crisis communications when needed, and supporting visibility through events, press activities, and strategic storytelling.

This position is ideal for a confident, articulate, and strategic communicator with a strong understanding of media dynamics and public relations.

Requirements

Education: Qualification in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field
Experience: Experience in communications, PR, media relations, or content development is an advantage
Skills: Strong writing, presentation, and relationship management skills; familiarity with digital and media tools

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media professionals, influencers, and key stakeholders
  • Manage media inquiries and coordinate press coverage and interviews
  • Create high-quality content including press releases, speeches, newsletters, and social media messaging
  • Monitor media coverage and public sentiment to safeguard and enhance brand reputation
  • Develop and support crisis communication strategies and responses when required
  • Plan and coordinate press conferences, product launches, and public appearances
  • Advise and support internal stakeholders and executives on communication and media matters
