Sales Representative

Reports to: Sales Manager

Location: Paramaribo, Suriname

Description

The Sales Representativeis responsible for achieving sales targets within the food and non-food segment. This role focuses on maximizing customer satisfaction through proactive service, product knowledge, and strong relationship management. The Sales Rep acts as a key commercial ambassador for Simextra, maintaining contact with clients and promoting our range of food and non-food products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (HBO) in Marketing or Communication
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in sales, preferably in the hospitality sector
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and Facebook business tools
  • Valid BE driver’s license

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide potential clients with detailed pre-sales information about our products and organization
  • Follow up on quotes, orders, and deliveries with the goal of meeting monthly and quarterly sales targets
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through personal visits, calls, and email communication
  • Co-organize and attend promotional and sales activities on-site for example at hospitality venues
  • Introduce new products and promotional offers tailored to the customer’s needs
  • Increase sales through effective cross-selling strategies
  • Schedule and report all visits in advance to your direct supervisor
  • Visit clients outside regular working hours when needed to ensure excellent customer service
  • Submit bi-weekly sales reports to management
  • Provide support to the Sales Manager as required
